I have been camping at Sucker Lake (Kawartha Highlands) and know that I do get a cell phone signal (AT&T).

I am thinking of trying Crab Lake (Kawartha Highlands) but due to family issues I need to have cell phone signal. Can anyone tell me if the AT&T signal reaches Crab Lake also?

Thanks

Not sure if your particular question is answered here, but there was discussion of this in the past:

Someone else might have more information about this, but you might also consider looking into what Canadian cell phone companies carry AT&T signal, then check to see where their towers are.

Crab Lake and Sucker Lake are only about 5 km apart. IIRC Crab Lake is kind of nestled in among the hills, so even if you don't have cell service at lake level, you might be able to climb a hill and get service.

In the map below, Sucker Lake is the red circle, and Crab Lake is the yellow circle. If your cell service on Sucker was coming from Hwy 29 somewhere near Apsley (blue circle), then you almost certainly would also have cell service on Crab Lake. If your service was coming from somewhere along road 507 (purple oval), then perhaps you'll have a more difficult time getting service on Crab Lake.

I have camped on Crab Lake several times and have never had an issue getting cell service.

I'm with Rogers though, so I'm not sure if they use the same towers as AT&T.

Best of luck
