Hello! Have a trip planned for next week in Kawartha Highlands. Just wondering how bad the bugs are (mosquitoes, deerflies, etc)? We were not able to get out this year until now and I've been reading the biting bugs have been bad. I am planning what gear to bring so I'd like to get sense of the bug situation if you have any insight?? Thanks!

I was up that way last weekend for a quick canoe trip and saw only a handful of mosquitoes. Not enough to warrant bug spray or anything.

Bus are no longer a problem. macT is bang on.
FYI Duck Hunting does open that weekend and it can be popular there.

Was in Algonquin last weekend - maybe 5 mosquitoes all weekend and as macT says didn't use spray or anything
