Hello

Planning on paddling the French River from Hartley Bay down the Voyageurs channel this weekend with the guys (making it a 3 day weekend). Yes, executing plan B. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has paddled it recently and what the water levels might be and any conditions of note. I paddled the Figure 8 route many years ago but have never been to the Western Channel delta before. Which of the Five fingers would provide a tiny bit of WW fun at these levels? Still reading True_North's trip report for extra info. thanks TN for sharing.

A last second trip into Kawartha Highland PP this past weekend was great. Couldn't have asked for a better day than Saturday and Practically no bugs :-)!!

Web were there around Aug 1 and there were nothing but a few small swifts. With the high water levels on the lake, Devil's door and Jamieson were barely noticeable. In the absence of a very recent report your best bet would be to check the on-line gauges at Chaudiere and compare with the flow when we were there and when TN was there.

Not first hand visual but a group of us went last weekend in AUG and said the Dalles Rapids were barely significant compared to videos and pictures.

Dalles will be flooded out like Jamieson with the bay being so high, unless lots of water is released upstream.
