I'm doing a two night trip to algonquin in may and staying on hambone lake both nights. Has anyone ever fished on hambone or know what species are in there?

I stayed on Hambone in July a few years back. My buddy was determined that we should have trout for dinner. It took a while, but we got a decent lake trout dragging a worm on bottom out in the middle. According to https://www.lioapplications.lrc.gov.on. ... cale=en-CA there are also brookies and perch. Brookies don't tend to do well in small lakes with perch so I'd imagine there are few if any left. Personally, I'd make a point of getting to either Ralph Bice or Daisey for a day trip if fishing is a priority.
