Hi everyone,

I'm from southern Ontario & just discovered this site. Lots of good info.
I would appreciate any comments or advice on the West Little White river. I am planning a September trip up this river from Endkai lake to Town Line lake . I'm not new to back country camping but I am to this inter net stuff.

Thanks in advance.
Jim

Hi,

Just wondering if you traveled up this section of the Little White? If you did, how was it?

Regards,

Ryan

I would advise against upstream travel on this section. It's shallow and even if levels are up, you will be likely wading or lining upstream for a good chunk of it.
There are some long and steep portages out of black lake that lead to Kirkpatrick. While hard, would be immensely easier than attempting to paddle upstream on the Little White. The portages are used by Sleds/ATVS so there are likely wet, swampy sections. I've only traversed this in the winter. There are a few nice campsites on Black Lake. One by the southern narrows overlooking the cliffs and one on the northern shore among the pines.
