This is a nice, simple, short trip that doesn't seem very popular. I've recommended it a few times here for people looking for something short for new paddlers or who have limited time.
It seems that there's not a lot of information about this area of the park/people don't really know you can drive right up to Sunday Lake. When I was trying to book a couple years ago (online), the computer told me (IIRC) that I had to put in somewhere south of the highway and paddle up Sunday Creek to get to Sunday Lake.
Great campsite too- I stayed there.
I wasn't able to find too much info about the area, but I did see it mentioned a couple times about where to park. They told me as well when I went to pick up my permit. But you're right, without knowing that you can park right at the start of the 150m, it makes the trip look much less appealing.
