Hi Marv

First off, welcome to the forum (I see you're new). Judging by your list here I'm guessing (and hopeful) that you're from Lethbridge?

I'd love to pick your brain about some of these you mention and even go out sometime if you want. I find that there's not many canoeists down here (or maybe I just can't find them)

As a concession to my advanced age and infirmity and the general deterioration of my knees from too many years in carpentry, I just bought a 10' raft. It is outfitted with 2 very comfortable boat seats and a rowing frame. This type of boat is a bit slower than canoes but will handle most anything up to class 4. If anyone needs raft support for a trip and shuttle help, I have a pickup and time on my hands. Weekends are sometimes difficult but during the week I am open to offers. Marv . I guess I should add I live in Edmonton

This is such a great resource that I made it a sticky.
Please keep the information flowing, but please add only posts consistent with the originator's intent.
Yours in paddling, Allan

Ken, son of Marv and veteran of many paddling trips in the Oldman river sub-basin.
Upper St.Mary's, Belly, Waterton, Blackiston creek (behind the Golf course in Waterton), Castle and Oldman ( From the Bend to Maycroft, from below Maycroft to the next bridge. Monarch to Lethbridge. . .)

Oh, I almost forgot, some strech on the Red Deer (Staircase rings a bell), The Thompson river from upstream of the Frog to the confluence with the Fraser in BC and a little bit of the Red River in Ontario. . .

Goin' paddlin' this weekend St. Marys from the border on down and I don't know what else. . .

I’ve sorted the information provided above in Darin’s Alberta River Reference, omitting my list from Mark Lund’s book (in the post immediately preceding this one).
Each entry (that is each line) gives the reach (if specified) and the username.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to put the following into proper form (organize the entries for each river according to starting point, use NRCan place names, correct my typos, etc).
Maybe I'll come back and include information for rivers outside Alberta.
And no doubt I’ve introduced a few howlers.
Corrections welcomed, by post here, PM or email!
