Think I know the answer, but are Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls the same?

Geez . . . Easterners.

No, Sunwapta Falls are about 15 km south of Athabasca Falls, on the Sunwapta River just above its junction with the Athabasca River - on which, oddly enough, Athabasca Falls are located.

Are you planning a trip out this way, Allan?

Thanks.
Expect to be out your way next year.
May paddle the Bow (day trip) and the Milk but nothing more ambitious.
Have the floods wrecked either for paddling?
Hope that you and yours, Ralph, Mark, Darin and others got through that mess OK.
Guess those two on the Christina were victims of the flood.

EDIT: Forgot to say that I asked because I'm renovating the AB Route Forums. The North Saskatchewan basin is done and I'm working now on the Athabasca and Beaver basin. As I did for North Saskatchewan River entries, I'm ordering Athabasca River entries (and others) by access point.

The Oldman river shed and the Milk should be mostly the same. The Milk didn't get any significant flooding and the Oldman got worse 5yrs ago so there wouldn't be a lot of change there either
