Post subject:  summer 2020

I live in Ontario and by now I have accepted that going into the territories is not a good idea. I would still like to paddle and am looking at some options further south- in Ontario, Manitoba or Saskatchewan.

I am looking for a small group (or just one person) to paddle with- I can join your trip or you can join mine

I would like to do a 6-8 week long trip or a few 2 to 3-week long trips. I am available from June 19th to Aug 19th.

All my ideas assume we drive to the put-in and drive back home; do not require us to visit any communities on the way- to make things as safe as possible regarding Covid.

Some ideas that I have researched are:
-Wollaston Lake, Sask- Cochrane River- Thlewiaza River- Nueltin Lake and back via Putahow and Cochrane R (1200km; 6-8 weeks)

-Wollaston Lake, Sask. -Fond du Lac River -Black Lake, Sask- 300km 2-3 weeks;

-Black Lake, Sask- Chipman Portage- Selwyn Lake- Porcupine River -2-3wks

-Black Lake, Sask to Lake Athabaska; upstream on Williams River; explore sand dunes; loop back west to McFarlane River; finish in the community of Fond du Lac or Black Lake – 2-3weeks

-Berens or Poplar River starting in near Red Lake, Ont; ending at the south end of Lake Winnipeg (5 weeks)

-canoe along Lake Superior or Georgian Bay (any length of time)

My contact information:; after June 20th also please text me at 416-461-6000 ( I might not have access to e-mail).
