Starting from Stuartburn is a nice trip, the shuttle is short and you can park at the campground right off the 59 in Roseau River. There are a few rocks to miss in low water about a km after the put in and then it's an easy float until half to three quarters of the way along. You will likely feel the river speed up and see that the gradient steepens a bit. After this you need to stay clear of the outside of the bends as there are often rocks or occasionally a fallen tree out there in the fast current. Best to move to the inside of he bend in plenty of time to where the slower water is if you are at all uncertain.
If you keep going west of the 59 you can take out at the old ford crossing. We usually get out on the south side, park at the top of the hill please, don't drive down. The track is eroding and vehicles make things worse.
You can also take out at George Beaudry's campground, O Roseau. He is likely the one who shuttled Neil. Or you can carry on with rapids gradually declining in number to PR218
Same thing applies to this section generally best to stay on the inside of the bends as there are high eroding sand cliffs that dump rocks in to the channel along the outside of the bends. Just look for the downstream V and follow the flow between the rocks.
