Has anyone paddled the Mouchalagane River, which flows into the Manicouagan Reservoir? If so, I'd love to get your advice on the route, including how your did the logistics. Thanks!

Hello,
I would love to do this river. There is a way in to the river from a road, but I think the trip then becomes about two weeks in length. I contacted the float plane company in the area in 2018. Here are the prices, needless to say I found them a bit shocking. You can paddle all the way back to the float plane base, but again that adds a couple of days.
Hi Sir ,
As requested please find our quote for your canoe expedition on the Mouchelagane River :

Thanks for this. My understanding is that flying in is essential, but that you can paddle to roads either at Manic V or on the east side of the reservoir.

I'm interested in speaking to folks about the rapids and route too. I've seen the cartespleinair.org route description, but would like to get another set of impressions.

I know of a group that has paddled in. You can also arrange for a boat shuttle out. From the people that I've talked to that have paddled it, they absolutely loved it. If you decide to go and need another paddler, keep me in mind.

Thanks. Trip is full right now but if something happens I'll be in touch.

Would you feel comfortable connecting me to someone who was in that group?

If you do paddle the river, a trip log with logistics would be VERY welcome. The Mouchalagane River has been on my wish list for some time now. Hope you have an exceptional trip.
