View topic - Mistassibi NE take out

Planing a Mistassibi NE trip this Sept and was wondering why the take out is at the bridge KM 50 ad why not closer to town. And if anyone has done this some info would be great.

Mistassini or Mistassibi? I just got back from Mistassibi North West and took out at Km80.

Oops my bad Mistassibi NE

The river gets pretty flat past the bridge, and you'll see more signs of civilization. Not sure how camp-able it is. I wouldn't bother going further. If you want to lengthen the trip a little, there's an alternative put-in to the 6 portage start from Lac Froget. The alternative gets you to the southern end of Lac Machisque.
