White pines are producing record cones this summer...with accompanying drippy sap. Dozens of drips are on the tarp.

I know that most hand santizers will remove the sap, but is there an easier way?

It's quite bad this year... I've had some clothes dripped on, and even my car had a few spots on it. I've used rubbing alcohol (91% isopropanol) to remove it, with decent but mixed results, but I'm not sure if that's a safe option for tarps or tents - depends on the material, I guess?

If others have additional info or experience, it would be appreciated.

Turtle wax bug and tar remover has usually worked great on hard surfaces. Otherwise just rub some dirt on it and it will slowly spall off.

Is acetone safe to use on tarps?
