I'm down to my last two canoes and since I won't be able to use them in the foreseeable future, I'd like to give them to other paddlers. Both have lived outdoors in recent years and I can't bear to see them weathering away.

The first is a wonderful solo canoe by Mad River. It's 15'6" long and 28" abeam, very fast and a joy to paddle. The hull is very sound, but the woodwork needs a lot of work or, more likely, replacement. I no longer have a workshop or I would have upgraded the wood myself.

The other is a 17' Gillies, a kind of general tripping canoe that handles beautifully. I completely did the woodwork a number of years ago an it is still very sound. It's fibreglass and not too heavy. There are a number of stress cracks in the hull, but they can easily be taken care of.

I live in Gatineau (Hull) and you would have to arrange to transport them yourself. If you are interested or want more informatione-mail me at richard@opuspocus.ca .

Fully agree with Canoeheadted - class act all the way.

Richard it was great meeting you last night and I just wanted to thank you again for your generosity - you have my word I will take great care of her. Pics of the maiden voyage next year for sure!

Take care Rich, all the best!
