So, if you are anything like me, every time I see a canoe on the roof of a vehicle go by, I pause, take a look, admire the boat, and wonder where they are headed. Next thought that comes to my mind is, "I wonder if they are a member of this forum?"

Well yesterday I caught a glimpse of a yellow canoe, on a wooden rack on the back of a new grey pick-up pass me in my neighbourhood. Thinking back to a pic I'd seen in one of tearknee's trip reports and asked myself if that could've been the Happy Adventure. I pm'ed her and sure enough it was!

It got me to thinking that maybe if we posted up pictures of our rigs, we might be able to recognize each other heading down the highway, or at a put in, or ...

Anyway, here's a pic of my SR Q17 on the roof of my Grand Cherokee. Wave, or honk, flash your lights or say hello if you see me out and about!

Don't forget to add your pic!

I think it's so funny that you saw Happy on the Taco! Andrew was just saying how horribly conspicuous he felt driving around the city with a bright yellow canoe for a hat.

Here she is!

Looks like a response to the "Lonely Hearts" ad in that old joke---"Must have own boat. Send picture------of boat"

Great idea for this thread. I often stare and wonder, and if I'm not headed somewhere myself, it's with envy.

Here is my rig from a few years ago. I got too depressed filling it up at the pumps, so nowadays the boats will be seen bombing around on my little Prius!

For 2 canoes, 4 paddlers and a load of gear in the back, our Odyssey has been comfortable and reliable, taking us to many a put-in spot over the past 11 years. At 330,000 km, she will be retiring shortly.

Next week we may have the only Toyota Highlander with Manitoba plates running around Southern Ontario with an empty boat trailer behind. Saturday we leave on a road trip to visit family and pick up two w/c canoes, one a Y-stern, the other a Bastien Bros 15 footer in London. We'll be traipsing around Stouffville to see my family and Wainfleet to see Christy's family, with Guelph, Brantford and London as visit stops along the way.

This is from a few years ago.

A 32-foot voyageur wood-strip canoe on a 1984 Ford F250. for several years I paddled this canoe in the Adirondack 90-miler. After some minor refurbishment, I'm thinking on bringing it back to its previous race glory. A different voyageur makes its way to the Yukon River races in a similar manner on a different truck

@littleredcanoe ... I guess if we hold a mirror to the edge of your photo we could get an appreciation of your whole fleet.

@Mihun09 ... I'll watch for you in Stouffville

If all goes according to plan we should be in Stouffville the 20-22 then again for a one nighter before starting back on the 26/27th.
