I use a compression sac for the main body. The fly goes in the original bag it came with. No problems whatsoever. As far as compression, the reason you do it is to squeeze out most of the air that makes tents bulky. I noticed a big difference and my tent has survived it many times. The compression sac i use for it is the cheap "coughlans". I hear others with their concerns about tents being damaged and to that i say.....really? How about when its raining and we all have done this>>>stuff the tent in the sac as fast as possible! That can also compromise the fabric. I'm for it! I should mention i pack all poles and hardware separately.
