A good friend of mine has been building and restoring canoes and boats for close to thirty years and on visiting his shop a few weeks ago I was surprised to see his winter project for a customer. The customer has a chestnut Indian Maiden which he stored outside under a tree. In a windstorm a huge branch broke off and landed on the canoe breaking it in half. Here's a link to the restoration process to date, hope the link works ok.
