Has anyone tried baking with an Outback Oven using the Trangia stove?
Any tips would be appreciated, I plan to try using my trangia to bake bread and various desert cakes and cinnamon buns on my next trip.

Given that the Trangia is an alcohol stove, I think it might be risky.
The outback covers the stove, and the increasing heat might create lots of alcohol vapor.

The pics posted on the prior link show a method of baking, without the outback stove. I tried it, and here are some problems I found:

- finding a bed of little rocks or 5 rocks the same size isnt as simple as you think
-the rocks will ruin the bottom of the pot you use to do
-tossing in water helps
-covering the whole thing with the Outback Oven cover helps

After trying many baking methods, the outback oven-dragonfly combo is by far my favorite, most convinient, and most consistently gives best results!

If you don't mind packing that sort of weight, Coleman makes a pretty good oven for their naptha and propane two burner stoves.

The time I could spend baking is usually spent fishing.

yes Coleman makes a good oven and the Peake Bros make super cinnamon buns on it but HACC is eight and uses a dual burner stove.

The Trangia would be swallowed up.
