Absolutely. Can't wait to get out. Cool weather without snow is just boring.

C'mon out here. It has been snowing for the last 3 days.

Not exactly the fun stuff though. That I am looking forward to. :)

Looking to take my kids on one more outing this season, heading onto the South Saskatchewan for an overnighter. But, it's gonna be cold morning, evening, and especially overnight. So, it occurred to me last night that I ought to take the canvas tent and wood stove. Biking to work this morning, I was dreaming of the titanium stove and lightweight winter camping tent I would buy were I to win a lottery. :)

Gear Junkie posted this today, which suggests to me they completely missed the point. http://gearjunkie.com/portable-wood-burning-stove

Coincidentally Bev and I were talking this morning and she agreed to try an overnight this Winter providing there is heat in the tent and the car is close by.
So the idea is to take the old Summer tent and throw a tarp over it with an extension cord run to a couple of electric heaters plugged into a power bar that she can turn on from her sleeping bag in the morning.
Still have 2 and probably 3 weekend canoe trips planned but ya, I am looking forward to getting out this winter and venturing further from the car.

Cheers
Rob
