Not sure how relevant this will be, but I thought I would pass it along anyway. One example of canoeing or kayaking making its way into mainstream popular culture, only this time as a reflective and healing journey through grief. Leaving shore, adrift, searching for connection, surrounded by beauty, gentle repose, finding balance ... a lot of sincere and meaningful reflections in this book.

You can read review here, or a video interview with the author on PBS.
