So I ordered this book of Chapters a few weeks ago and finally had a chance to sit down over the past few days and read through it.

Now I've read many a Hap book over the years and am already accustomed to his writing style and thoughts on many things but it seems to me this one has gone to another level.

Most of the book seems rather negative, getting more so as you move from chapter to chapter. Does anyone else get feel the same or am I reading too much into this?

I'll probably continue to support Hap and his books but hope he can lighten up a bit :D

Harlan

The cynical element is certainly there, though the tales and adventures are well worth the read. If you haven't read his book 'Grey Owl & Me', I'd suggest it for sure. An interesting approach to writing, and the most entertaining of all his books in my opinion.
