:o

inspired by those Yanks Winter Camping with a Big Frozen Pike

Pike is good
but Perch is better.

Clear Lake 2kms south of Parry Sound
Oh God,
nuthing is better than fresh Perch Soup with Carrots and Potaotes and Dill.

In Finland, 1989
we were at a posh Hotel
and that's what they were $erving up.
At Clear Lake Ontario, a bona fide Connaiseur
described this recipe:

Perch
or Pike
(gut it and layer the steaks, bones n'all)
alternate layers of potato slices, carrots, onions
pour water over all
fresh/dried Dill, Parsley, pepper corns, Bay Leaf
simmer till soft

Pure, pure, food of the Gods

that's what you shouldda done with that Pike
yum.
:D

Well, by the time that bad boy pike froze, and we not smart enough to chop em up in little pieces, we'd have needed a pot 3 feet deep. :o

Becca did make a pot of beer cheese soup, /sort of/ by the time the soup was simmering, I had consummed the beer. "da-aad"

So, it lacked a little something.
