Will definitely consider for the first weekend. We were planning on heading up to the Huntsville area but I'm worried about the lack of snow.

Hi All,

I (Daniel) will be coming Saturday to Thursday. Is there a PotLuck this year, and if so when? Joe, where is the new location on Sideburn? Are we best to go direct from the parking lot or from the point on the roadside?

Kinguq.

The trail to the new location starts at the back of the parking lot . No need to shuttle our vehicals any more . Just take the trappers trail around the end of the lake to the jack pine stand as the trail heads on away from the lake . scouter Joe

I am bringing something for a Pot Luck. Hay Dog House help me out here and tell us what is needed. It is going to be fun to have winter.
Stay safe

The Emerald Palace (Marc, Greg - with daughter Brooke, and myself - with my daughter Andrea) will be coming Sunday. Both girls are 12 and will be staying until Wednesday. Marc will also be bringing his girlfriend Angela on Friday to Sunday.

I believe Greg is brining his quiet 2000w generator again for device recharging.

Just a few more sleeps...

Read about this trip on Wintertrekking.com. Haven't met anyone from the forums yet, but since winter is smiling favorably for this rendezvous, I think I'll join!

I'll likely attend from Sat 13 - Mon 15. First time hot-tenting, and doing so in my homemade canvas tent. Might as well suffer the learning curve with folks that can help with ideas!.

Cheers,
Corey

Welcome Corey , bring a warm sleeping bag as it looks like we will have a real deepfreeze especially the first night.

Welcome Corey . Bob Morgan and I went in today to check the area and everything is good . We cut some brush and small trees off the trail , cut some firewood and packed the trail in as well as around the campsite . The parking lot is cleaned with lots of room for everyone . Three more sleeps . See you all there . scouter Joe

Now it is official, Mike and I, plus 3 kids will be there Sunday - Friday. I am glad to see that there will be more kids.

Please keep me a spot not too far from the beach, but not too close either. Not in downtown, but not too far from downtown either. Not too close to a thunder box, but not too far either.

Had a great time meeting everyone at Deepfreeze 2016!

Won't be able to make it back next weekend though, but glad I stayed the extra day. Hope the potluck went well :)
