A small group led trip will be traveling down the lower petwawa river this coming Canada day long weekend starting Friday mid day. The organizer has chosen not to reserve any sites and that brings up some concerns on my part, like we show up and they are booked up............its a long drive.
any input / suggestions?
I guess I could reserve but don't want to step on any toes
thanx

My guess would have been that the high water would have made this route popular with WW paddlers esp on a long weekend. But a quick look at the reserved campsites list shows that many Pet campsites are still available. This is a bad year for flies so maybe that's keeping the campers away? OTOH maybe not, since other interior places are booked right up, nothing available.
